We are team ‘Fur Crate Escapes’ and we love dogs!
Currently we are owned by Poppy a 14 year old Working Cocker, Simba a 5 year old Labrador and Hattie a 2 year old Golden Retriever. We have a huge passion for dogs and feel privileged to share our lives with our furry friends.
The welfare of our dogs and any dogs in our care is of the utmost importance to us. Every animal we look after is treated with the same love and devotion that we give our own animals. You can be safe in the knowledge that your animal is being looked after by us as if it was one of our own. Our interactions with your Dog will be kind, calm and clear. We only ever use positive/reward based methods to build trust and ensure that your dog simply loves being walked by us.
As long as I can remember I have had an unprecedented love for animals. I grew up with a German Shepherd and as soon as I purchased my own house I bought my first dog a Working Cocker called Bailey; pictured above.
Bailey taught me so much. He was not an easy dog, he could be reactive at times and had a huge prey drive, but with love, care and firm boundaries we shared a wonderful 15 years together.
I have rescued all sorts of animals, from lizards, to pregnant cats, to wild birds and even an orphaned mouse!
My other great passion is rescuing ex commercial hens, which I have done for nearly 20 years.
I have a Bachelors degree with Hons in Biology and a PGCE from Birmingham University. Previous to walking dogs I was a SENco in a primary school.

Growing up, we always had Dogs and Cats in our house and those of our family. One of which was Misty, a beautiful German Shepherd who I loved being out on walks with and who always won at games of Hide and Seek when we were out in the woods!
I’ve always been an active person, working in the Fitness industry for over 20 years; teaching classes, training instructors how to teach, writing educational content and conducting assessments. All of this results in a high level of physical fitness, attention to detail and the ability to create a safe, enjoyable environment for all learners.
These skills transfer naturally into taking care of our and your dogs. You can be certain that any special requests or needs you or your dog requires will be delivered on and that they will have lots of fun!
